He should have told her to shut off her mouth, 'so we don't have to breathe your breath!' I would have gunned it up to about 3,000 rpm the whole time she was standing there.

So what exactly do people have against the Prius? If you don't like it, don't buy it. But it seems to meet many people's needs.

I would drive one for the fuel economy -------------if I won it on The Price Is Right or had one willed to me.
IMO They cost too much to regain you're investment in fuel savings, unless you drive it for 15-20 years. Battery would have to be replaced at least once in that time frame; another huge exspense.

My older brother had one a while back, and he's no greenie. Only reason he traded it was he decided he needed AWD to get through the worst snow storms to get to work.

"Bob: please don't make Dougie cry any more."
Sir, it was not my intention to start a fight here, I was merely curious of the photo and the message in it. I didn't realize there were such egos here at work or I would not have mentioned it. I noted the clubhouse section but couldn't get into it so I must assume that it is members only. You guys would do better to get along with each other or put some boxing gloves on and go at it to get it all out. Man, this is almost as bad as some of the Mopar forums.

My mother owns and drives one. It suits her needs and it is really a great driver.

Clicking the picture in Bob's signature blows it up larger. The img properties say something-GAYLORD-something, whatever that means.
Sir, I apologize to you too. I didn't know this would turn into an internet argument.

With such unfriendly people here I wonder if I should find a different Pontiac forum to participate.

Diego: it's not the car, it's the owners attitudes. See the video link I posted.

The owners attitudes are notorious enough that the TV show "Family Guy"

even mentions it on an episode :

"Driving a Prius doesn't make you Jesus Christ" - Quagmire

Mopar people don't think anything is worth what their Mopar is worth. My old roommates and former coworker are Mopar people and are annoying about it. I've bought a convertible GTO from some Mopar guys in Florida who ragged on Pontiac like nobody's business. But several members here whine that my Tempest 4 door is not welcome here too.

My neighbor drives a Prius. They also have PV solar panels on their roof and solar water heating panels. They mind their own business and don't judge others. A woman we had to work with is a typical liberal government retiree (now retired) and has two for her family. She's one of the nicest people you could know. A couple down the street have two and are friendly people.

Personally I wouldn't be caught dead in a Prius. But if you're not a "car guy" I understand the desire to have a reliable means of transportation that gets great fuel mileage for your ride back and forth to work.

I agree with what was said above. I would never own one but I don't care if people like them and if it works for them.

76WS4 don't be silly. There's no need to leave. Here's the bottom line. There are several members here who simply don't get along. That's the way the world works. Not everyone gets along. For the most part, they keep their differences in the clubhouse but it happened to spill over into this post.

There's no reason to leave a website because 2-3 guys don't get along.

It's not your failing so don't sweat it.

But you've stumbled on to what he and his "buddies" try to do. They'll try to run off anyone who doesn't agree with them. Most people who disagree here don't try to run others off, but this is a "special" group with special needs. If you hang around, you'll see. They've run off a few. Bull (Catalina Dave) was one. He was a solid dude who offered something to the site, and the site is worse for them being permitted to run people off.

Why do you presume to know what a Prius owner thinks?

Am I to assume every Poncho driver is a douchebag because he feels it's his right to judge others on what they choose for personal transportation?

You asked, I answered.

I really don't feel like getting into your drama queen crap over your upset feelings from old CH arguments.

The video I posted is supposed to be funny, seems the rest of the car guys get it.

What arguments?

I think my point was plainly made, Jersey-style. You don't like it, badda-bing.
