Looks kewl, I like that 78. Looks alot better than mine did when I got. I think mine went through a river for a few years. Maybe the Russian military used it for submersible work? Anyways I have a question for all your badarses out there. Have you installed a 4 point roll cage into a year model such as mine? Camaro/TA etc. How/measurements etc would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and keep on restoring!
Chris

No, that was back in the early 80's but I plan on doing it again right in the middle of the roll cage. And that was in a 78 Firebird Esprit. Boo hoo search but it had made the trip to the scrapper...NEways I've added a few more pics to the site BTW and hope to get the shots of my roll cage install up soon.

Well have not posted in awhile so wanted to give quick update. Got Currie 9" rear end, 3.50 31 spline, disc brake setup (due tomm). Installed front frame section, painted underside, wheel wells and trunk. Looking for tranny now (Is it Tremec or Richmond?) Leaning to a Tremec since 5th is a true overdrive. Then it will be off to painting the inside, putting on doors etc. Man rusty bolts are fun to derust and paint! Think naval jelly and CLR! And who said finding new bolts is an easy deal!?!?! NOT! The March Car Craft has a kewl arse blue 78 TA in there. I like the paint, but want the gold bird etc. We shall see... Cheers!

Update: Just got all of the suspension stuff in and about to get that all bolted on. Got the motor at the machine shop and having it bored to .60 over. Got Eagle crank, rods and Ross pistons to go in it. New front water pump cover and plate that goes b/t. Need to get rest of motor but getting a bit cash strapped. Cmon IRS check!

Cheers!,
Chris

Where did you get your roll cage? I would like some thing like that for my 72 firebird.
