Yup this is what I used too. https://www.amazon.com/Permatex-8006...71699260&psc=1
But I also screwed mine (w the 4 speed naturally aspirated to the rims as well, that 60 ft was so important on that car. My turbo car doesn’t hit the tires as hard so I haven’t run screws just the permeated and it’s been fine

I used the Permatex on my radials and had no problems,. Have been down to 1.29 60's hitting the tires with a trans brake, Never moved in 2 years. Just changed them this year and had no problem removing the tires that where glued. lacquer thinner cleans it right of the rims.

Are you guy coating the rim all the way around on both sides with the product you use? Just the rim or the tire also? Curious.
Thanks.

I have never put anything on the bead of my slicks in over 40years of racing. None of the big 3 that mount tires at the track do either.

I only coat the rim side of the bead, i dont run tubes. And the MT slicks are usually pretty rough in that area. So between dawn dishsoap on the inside and bead sealer trying to slow down any leaks at all and keep the slick from spinning.

Buy Hoosiers , they do not leak like the empties. No dish soap and no tubes needed.
