Default Wow

Dominic-

Breath taking! Car turned out way better than I am sure it looked when it was delivered brand new!

I am grateful the original owner decided to get this done. I think it saved the car since it’s rock solid with no rust whatsoever
But I also regret it because it’s an ugly nasty job to remove.
Spent a day removing the undercoating and plan on dusting new red oxide primer soon .
Sorry if you covered this allready, but what did you use to remove the undercoating? looks like its running off like water in the photos in post #21

I just stumbled across this thread. Outstanding job! Very cool. I agree, would love to see more pics and videos.

I can assure you it just didn’t run off like water. Haha
I used a pressure washer with 180 degree water boiler and industrial degreaser.
It was a hot nasty job that took about 4 hours.
I started out using a full face shield but with the hot water and cold temperatures it just fogged up the shield so I didn’t use it.
It hurts when that hot undercoating hits your face
I looked like I was living in a coal mine after 4 hours
Happy with the results though

Sold the TA yesterday to a great guy that will take good care of the car
I had a few offers but in the end decided to sell it to a guy that was passionate about the car cause he owned the same car back in the 80’s
Even sent me a pic of him and his car from 1980.
He drove 12 hours to see the car and guess what?
The windshield wiper motor stopped working!
I felt so bad I gave him back 1k
I think he is happy with the car and told him to contact me anytime if he has questions
