Warwick Blue is a '69 color and this is a '68.

Looks like Nightshade Green to me, which was a regular-production color. There were mid-year colors, but none of them were green. Could it be this is some odd thing related to the Endura-delete?

I seen nightshade on a few cars and always looks to a different color (sun shade thing maybe). That one looks mrs green than most. Here's a picture in 1972 unfortunately the picture is dark. Here another one when it got painted in 73 you can see the door is dark green.

Is that "British Green" a non-metallic color, similar to the 1973 Brewster Green?

That certainly does not look like any Nightshade green I've seen. Nightshade looks more like a green tinted charcoal to me...

What did a body shop do when these special order paint color cars had work done to them. No paint code. Brake out the color chips?

When I talked to the original owner about the color of the car he said it was Forest Green. But there was no GM forest green. So when I talked to PHS they said Code 1 is any GM color and code 2 was any manufactory color. The weird think is Chrysler has a forest green.

After all this I think the original color of my GTO is 1968 GM British green

So I am going to get british green mixed up and paint a test panel and just for the heck of it I am also going to do the same with the Chrysler forest green.

1968 GM Sequoia Green - When I look it up (google images) there was different colors of it, to find out not all correct. I found out Sequoia green is the same as Nightshade, so thats out.

"Forest Green" to me can be a generic term to suggest a dark green.

Now a question about HO s.
PHS says this a is HO {348} block,{358}4spd close ratio,{363} 3.90gr

How many HOs possibly had a chrome bumpers,
plus it states ,,code 494 Rally Stripes ,(never seen them myself) deluxe hub caps

Original paint on your floor compared with original paint chips iot does look like code B Midnight Teal Metallic.

If those last two are of your original paint rear inner panels, then it sure looks like the same color green as the three Chevys you posted.

I would suggest choosing which is the most original between the floor paint and the rear inner paint and have that scanned to get your paint formula for mixing.

Also if you could find it, The special order sheet the dealer would have filled out to order the car would have paint information in box 29.

Ultimately if you only have the PHS info for the car to document it has special paint, but nothing on paper as to what color or formula was used, you are left to decide what shade you would like your car to be.

Nightshade green definitley looks like "dark green at night", when viewed during the day.

I was just able to get back on the forums. Not sure what was wrong, but got some help. Thanks
Yes we went with the one I posted . Unfortunately we do not have the special order form. I did talk to the original owner but he doesn’t remember or have any paperwork.

Have you checked the Cadillac colors? There's a gentleman I've met at a couple of shows in my area who is the original owner of a 67 GTO that he ordered in a Cadillac green. Going strictly from memory, it was similar.

After thinking about it, it was not a 67 but a 66. I did a search and came up with a 67 GTO in a Cadillac green and also a 66 in a Cadillac green.
Here is an article on the 67. If you do a search for 66 GTO in Inverness Green a pic will come up. It's a Facebook thing so I can't link it here but the motor trend article shows some good pictures of the 67. Both colors are very similar and they give the codes.

Here's the '66. This one looks just like the one that I spoke with the owner about a couple of times. I have no way of knowing if it's the actual car or not but it's identical.

You could order Cadillac colors as a special order but not any of the Firemist colors (which had special metallics in them).

That 67 is stunning in that color!

Noticed on that old photo of it on the lot that the trim rings have been removed. It is stunning. So is the '66 with parchment interior and top...just one photo of it though.
