So some members have chimed in saying they run ‘pump gas’ with engines that have around 11 to 12:1 compression.
Okay, fair enough. So exactly what octane pump gas? Let’s please provide this pertinent information. Is it 91 octane, 93 octane or? What camshaft (duration and lift), automatic transmission and gears, converter, rear gear, cylinder head air flow, etc. all of which affects the ability to run said pump fuel? What car and how much does it weigh? Big cams, loose converters and higher numerical rear end gears in lighter cars all help to allow an engine to better tolerate higher compression. Inquiring minds want to know.
