Default Just Installed Pypes Exhaust Today

Just installed Pypes exhaust my son and I purchased from PY today (Christmas Day). We got the Street Pro all stainless steel system including stainless steel 1" Pypes band clamps. Wow does it sound good with the small Melling cam ( same as the Summit 2801 cam) the stock 1975 low compression 400.Glad the weather was ok and warm enough to work on the GT-37 onChristmas Day.

Here are some pictures of the install and a video of what it sounds like.

Click on this picture for a video of the Pypes Street Pro Exhaust

That is why we bought a good quality all stainless steel exhaust. Even the band clamps are from Pypes and are stainless steel. I even polished up the pipes, mufflers and band clamps prior to installing the system. One day it willget restored but at least I can now drive this car and enjoy it for a while before taking it apart. The exhaust should be easily removed when the car is taken apart using the band clamps.

I have not driven it yet since the system was installed. Maybe later this week. The old turbo mufflers had a nasty droan without tail pipes. This system sounds real nice inside the car when it is reved up.

Default pypes exhaust

Sounds great! My dad and I installed the 2.5" stainless xpipe system on my 70 GTO yesterday. Haven't fired it up yet. Race pro 18" mufflers. Hope it sounds similar to yours! Great working with dads!

My son and I like doing stuff like this together. My dad never helped me work on my cars.

That is the next goal to get the 428 running. I was thinking of the Ram Air III cam for it. Should sound really nice.
