Default battery drain problems

Battery drains totally after sitting a week or so. I know there are no lights on, trunk and hood light disconnected. I am sure cigarette lighter in off position. I know the negative cable is not very tight and alternator was replaced a few months ago. Would the negative cable (loose to allow disconnection at World of Wheels a couple of months ago) cause the problem, or should i be checking elsewhere? I will tighten the cable at the post.

Thanks, Ken
