Default Handy Tip

Recently I got a huge new tool chest and I was kind of up in the air about how to label drawers. For the past several years I have been using a P-touch label maker that uses 1/2" tape ... great little machine ... as long as you NEVER have to remove one of the labels. Next to impossible. So I end up putting new ones over the top of old ones.

Anyway, didn't want to do this to the new tool box. So, I bought a couple of 9 x 11 magnetic "white board" sheets, cut them up into 1" x 3" pieces, write whatever I want to on them and stick them to the drawers. When I'm sure I like whatever arrangement I have, I'll go to something more permanent.

While looking for a use for all my spare little magnetic labels, I realized they would be great for temporary reminders for things on the GTO in restoration. Little warnings, reminders, notes ... since most of the car is steel, they will stick anywhere, remind you to fix a dent, install a diff vent cap, hook something up, take something off, change a bolt etc.

Now I'm sticking them to machines to remind me what size belts, blades, bits etc. to reorder when needed, etc.
