Default Question to Ames RE 1157A LEDs

Hi. Sent an email in a while back regarding some 1157 amber LEDs I received with my last order but haven’t heard back. I tried to install these bulbs in the front signal/parking lights of my 70 Formula but the bayonet base won’t drop far enough into the socket to twist and lock in. Yes I had the offset pins in the correct orientation.

On these LEDs there is a plastic collar or ring where the base and the lamp assembly meet. This would be where the glass bulb and metal base meet on a regular filament type 1157. This ring appears to be too large in diameter to clear the swaged or rolled edge where the socket fits the housing.

Have you had any other instances of this issue? Thanks for your reply.
