Default Stiff Suspension?

Today I mounted tires and rims on my restored 67 GTO frame to roll it out of the way. After I set it down I could not get any travel out of the front suspension. I do not have any control arm bushings or sway bars tight yet. Is it possible I need the weight of the engine, drivetrain, and body to see movement? I thought a 225 lb man bouncing on the front end would get some kind of travel.

Thumbs up

Yea it's going to need a bit more than that.
Even with the engine in place, it takes a little time to settle down

Mine was the same way, and I had the same thoughts, after you hang 2000 lbs on the frame it behaves fine.

You need the car together with the body, engine, and transmission in place and it sitting on the wheels before you can tighten the A-arms to avoid bushing damage.
