Default WideTrack Wakeup - Pontiac Cruise-in and Swap Meet • Tucson • June 11, 2022

Help support your local speed shop by displaying your favorite Pontiac or GMC Truck at WideTrack Wakeup, from 8-10am only, on Saturday, June 11, 2022.

This one-time event is a cars-and-coffee-type event, combined with a Pontiac-GMC parts and vehicle Swap Meet and engine rev.

Free to attend;
no pre-registration. Simply show up for this two-hour event and show your support for Don's Hot Rod Shop, the last of its kind in Southern Arizona, located at 2811 N. Stone Avenue in Central Tucson.

WideTrack Wakeup is hosted by the Arizona Chapter of the Pontiac-Oakland Club, International (POCI), which is based in Tucson. Membership in the club is not required to display your Pontiac, Oakland or GMC Truck that morning. We welcome stock or modified Pontiacs, classic Oaklands, and GMC Trucks only, all years and models, street-legal or full-race. Racers are encouraged to bring their non-street-legal trailered Pontiacs, too!

The Swap Meet is also free. Please limit your items to Pontiac or GMC parts and/or vehicles ONLY. (Place small parts for sale next to your display vehicle, or set up a larger area in the dirt lot located behind the building. Race cars and swap vehicles may be left on trailers parked in the unpaved area directly behind Don's Hot Rod Shop.)

Come meet fellow performance enthusiasts from the newly-formed Outlaw Pontiac Racers West group as they promote a new Pontiac drag race series (all models, all years, traditional Pontiac and corporate-powered cars alike — even front wheel drive Pontiacs are welcomed!) For more info on the Outlaw Pontiac Racers, contact Rick Unterseh at (480) 570-5583 or look for him at this event.

Questions about the WideTrack Wakeup event and/or the Arizona Pontiac-GMC club? Contact President Thom Sherwood at (520) 798-3200 (no texts, please) or email: output@colorteks.com

Don's Hot Rod Shop is a long-standing, very important piece of Tucson's automotive culture! Please help support them with your local purchases, even if something as simple as a T-shirt or cap. Their doors will be open for business at 9 o'clock that morning. Located at 2811 N. Stone Avenue at Glenn. Look for the giant Paul Bunyon statue on the corner!

Rick sent me an email with the info a couple weeks ago. Sounds like a great time. Unfortunately it's from 8-10am, I'd have to be on the road by 4am to get down there by 8 LOL and then drive 4 hours back after only 2 hours of event time.

If this were an all day event I'd consider it, but can't justify the time spent driving for such a short event. Now if we had some drag racing scheduled later that day at Tucson dragway I'd make an exception

Hope you guys have a great time, love what Rick is doing and try to support him as much as I can.
