"I know, right?..."
There are far bigger problems in this world...but!
A peeve of mine are these annoying responses that are repeated in a conversation: "I know, right?" (What does this mean?) "Ya know", "dya know", "ya know what I mean?..." "Yup, yup, yup..." I'm sure there's more..."dyaknowwhatimean?" Sorry for vent lol. |

I say ‘ya know’ so often I don’t even realize I’m saying it. Especially if I’m drinking. It’s even annoying to me.

You might be onto something lol. I thought it was only me.. Couple years ago a female worker I was talking to used, ( Ya right ) to agree with me. Was the first time I'd heard it in a conversation. Doesn't bother me, but, I'm still not sure how to take it. I still don't know if it's sarcastic or really agreeing.
One of my peeves if this saying when people are talking. ( "Well, to be honest with you" ) I've actually stopped conversation and asked the other person if they were lying. They look at me so weird. I see it used by alot of people in conversations. Another guy at work who uses the word, ("Really ") when talking to him. lol It's so annoying.. I just laugh and shake my head... Here's a little humor. Here's the conversation: I just noticed my post count. 2727. I wonder if that is some sort of omen. Really. Ya, well to be honest with you, I should buy a lottery ticket. Ya Right.!!! lol

Being I was born and raised in Minnesota:
"You betcha" And now that I am a property owner in the UP: end every comment/question/statement with "eh?" The most annoying that is common here in Ohio: "know what i'm sayin'" - which comes out as one word "nowhaimsayn" - I like to derail that individual with "No - I don't know what you are saying, please elaborate" |

The one that really grinds on me is......"That's What I'm Talking About" even though the person never said anything!!!!!
 My wife uses "Like" way too many times. She also uses "And Um" to continue her thoughts verbally which is a bit irritating, but these minor things are way outweighed by all of her positives so I guess I will keep her!  God Bless Bill https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/...closed.614419/
