Default RH battery tray. Anyone make it?

About 30 yrs ago I made a new one.
I used an NOS LH and cut the upper mount off and swapped it with the RH one.

I could do this again but was hoping there is someone repoping the RH one.

Thumbs up

No market, so nothing is available.

As you know they are very hard to find. Most are rotted out beyond repair.
The last good one I found was in amazing condition (Last 2 images)

However making a RH tray for the '66-'67 A-Body is a very easy task.

I take the v8 Repro and weld up the bolt provisions and add two clip-on Cage Nuts in the location needed.
Luckily all wheel tubs have the bolt holes so its a fairly simple swap.

Jeff that works too
perhaps Im just being too anal,as mine still has the square nuts.
I had a thought that the V-8 did use the RH position for HD battery or something
but old age has a way of distorting facts

Would a RH early Firebird tray be a candidate ?
I have no idea - just random thought

later in thinking of this
I think the difference between HD and regular was the position of terminals was reversed positive to negative
therefore requiring different cables.
I ll get the service manual out to verify that only OHC-6 got the RH position.

I just spoke to Goodmark
They are looking into making at least 50 of the RH model
The option they also talked about was putting nuts on both sides
not correct for concourse but a good solution for those in need that place function first.

Are they worrying about unsold inventory? It
isn't just sixes, there's also SBC and LS1-swaps.
IMO, they'd do better by offering unfinished
trays instead. Toss the two correct nuts into a
bag, call it done (LS crowd might toss them in
favor of stainless hardware)

I offered that as an option also
give it a week and we will see what shakes out.

My '64 GTO has the holes for both sides. I moved it to the passenger side when I converted to LS engine.
