I'm regretfully selling my 461. here's the low down,
73 400 block
early 389 SD 4 bolt caps
ARP main studs
properly aligned bored
hard filled 1/2 " below water holes
0 decked
bored and honed with torque plates after hard filled
brass plugs
coated cam bearings
mega brace

4340 ohio forged crank 4.25 stroke

eagle 6.800 rods with ARP2000 rod bolts

icon premium forged pistons

clevite coated rod bearings

clevite main bearings

mahle rings file fit

comp roller cam 245/252 @ .050 112 ls 541/540 lift w/ 1.5 about 600 w/ 1.65

comp solid roller lifters (used) but rebuilt by comp

KRE 340 CFM high ports, 2.25/1.75 valves, roller spring 1.900 inst height.
304 cfm @ 600 lift. have flow sheet

scorpion 1.65 race series roller rocker

jomar stud girdles

victor intake highly ported and modified (done right)

1150 dominator carb built by shaker455

all the machine work was done by Eddie Flora in springfield oh.
Eddie is one of the best. he's been building engines all his life.
holds a couple NHRA records himself. there are a few other
people on here that can vouch for his work. top notch

I know Eddie, and he's been doing it a looong time. You can Google his name and see pics of his Anglia gasser he set records with, and he still owns the car. Top notch machinist!!

I know Eddy...eyeing a '65 Chevelle L-79 car he built way back when. Fastest cars in town in the late sixties had his bullets in them. He was building roller motors when nobody knew what they were. He's about a half hour from me and I still watch his gasser run at Kil-Kare.

Just talked to duke455, the heads flow 340 cfm@0.600" lift, not 304 cfm. Intake ports are 2.50" high.

1967 Firechicken, 499", Edl heads, 262/266@0.050" duration and 0.627"/0.643 lift SR cam, 3.90 gear, 28" tire, 3550#. 10.01@134.3 mph with a 1.45 60'. Still WAY under the rollbar rule.

The cam looks like a street cam. Is this thing pump gas. What is the static CR ?
