Default Trans cable grommet

Anyone have a picture of the cable grommet where the cable goes through the floorpan? I don't think they are re-popped and I need one.

Phil,
Are you talking about the shifter cable grommet?
It's in this picture at the end of the wrench. Not where it goes, but it's the picture I could find.
I was trail fitting everything for the addition of the console.
It has a metal ring around it.

That's what I am talking about. Could you give me some measurements? Overall diameter and inside diameter of the metal ring?

Do you want a picture of the shifter and it's mounting position on the tranny hump? I can take one tomorrow

Phil,
I can get you some pictures and measurements this afternoon. Console is just sitting in car and has to come out for stripping and painting of car.
Bear in mind that I have done the same conversion to His & Hers you are doing, I used an original grommet and got help from some members here for hole placement. Any large grommet would do however.

Mine was originally a His and her shifter so the hole is already there. I just need to make some type of grommet to cover it.

Oh, OK. How big a hole is it Phil?
Original grommet was held in place by metal ring, with three sheet metal screws.
At least, that's what I got with the console, and I was told that was correct.

The hole is 2" in diameter. I reckon the inside dimension of the ring should be the same. What does the outside of your ring measure?

Mine was always there so I don't know. I don't think there is. I will try to get some measurements for you in about six months.
I will get Cammer's tomorrow!

Phil & Blue,

Here is a picture of the original grommet and ring.
Ring is 3 1/4" outside and 2" hole. I used the grommet that was on the Shiftworks cable I ordered, notice how it was already on the cable when it was made.
Blue, I don't remember a dimple there to be drilled out. From the looks of Phil's original hole, looks like I made mine further towards the driver than it was originally. Did that because it made the fit of the cable better going down to the tranny. Fits fine with the console on there.
