Default Heater hose nipple install?

Any advice on installing a new nipple in the head on my 67 GTO? There is currently a freeze plug installed. My car has factory air but the none of it is installed yet.

Remove the existing freeze plug by stiking it w/ a punch on one side, causing it to rotate in the head so that it can be withdrawn w/ pliers. Go easy here so that you don't knock it into the head's water jacket where it could be diffucult to remove. Coat the outside of the heater hose nipple w/ sealant and use a deep socket (sized to fit outer diameter of nipple) to drive it in flush (to the crimp) w/ the head's intake surface.

Exactly what Les said, except I grab the lip of the plug with a seal puller after knocking it in and it slides right out. I won't say that you couldn't get it lost in the head, but I've had no problems when it totally popped inside and I had to fish it back up in the hole to grab it. Basically you want it positioned 180° from where it started so you can easily snatch it out.

The best type of sealant to use is the brown liquid goo permatex that comes with a brush in the lid

I just pulled both of mine this week. I went a little more gee-whiz. My caps were steel, not brass so I polarized a 3/8 drill bit and drilled a small hole in each and used a small slide hammer I have (Harbor Freight seal puller special).
