FYI... emailed the seller on ebay about the mat that was listed. I had asked some pretty simple questions (as instructed to do in his ad) and the guy "went off" on me! He even posted his reply to me on ebay... what a jerk this guy is! I wouldn't buy a thing from him.

I guess he's truly not interested in selling it to you then!!

What is the story behind these mini mats? Were they in dealer only option catalogues?

That's pretty much what I said in my reply to him, just worded a little differently.

These were basically just loose samples that were displayed at the parts counter. They were made in all available colors. Not positive on what year they came out, but probably late 60's given the colors of them. I have a set of single mats in every color, just looking for some different or extra ones. They make cool drink coasters!

Cool Sorry...

camera is toast! I'll borrow my son's and get some pix or I could send you the mat for inspection and you could mail it back if not interested. Actually...I set it here by my computer to set my morning coffee on, too! They do make excellent coasters. Take care. Ron

Thumbs up COOL Mats!

Grant - Those are really cool items! Glad you are having some luck finding them. Try getting something like that at a dealership these days.

Thumbs up Cool!!!

Glad I could help "round out" your collection. I didn't realize these even existed. Yep...hard to even get literature on new cars today...let alone any type of samples!
