Default 70 Power Steering Hose

Does anyone have a picture of the correct routing for the powere steering hose? The ends only go one way to the pump and steering gear, but the hose can be routed a few different ways. Thanks

This is how my are routed.
Don´t know if they are correct routing but the pressure hose is an NOS hose.

Sweet. I almost made a new thread to get the answer to this question, but decided to search different terms, and voila! I had posted this as a sidebar question in my Street forum thread, but figured here is where most of the traffic would be for that.

Everybody out there agree that the pic above is how the factory hose setup goes?

Nobody likes to take pics of their steering box/hose - not as sexy as engine pics. Kinda like taking a pic of Isabelle Forrer's ankle...

Google that name if you have to.

Almost all the P/S hoses route the same way on all Pontiacs, but if you want to keep it cooler which heat is the same killer on all parts you can if your not one to be 100% correct you can add an extra length of piping like what is used on the 69 Trans Am's P/S to help keep it cool. This winter when I pull the engine to put the new 469 in I'm going to reroute my P/S hose up & over the core support & down in front of the rad to help cool the P/S. Sorry not ment to highjack the post.

Nah, just want stock hose routing. No autocrossing for me, straight line and street lights. But thanks, tho.

OK, answering my own question after extensively searching through diagrams and manuals. Found it in fig 9-66 of the service manual. Incidentally, 2nd gens run the same way.

Whew!

BTW, anybody google Isabelle Forrer? Best Olympian ever.

Sorry, yes, forgot to clarify. I am a 72 guy. I was just piggybacking on an old thread.

Yeah I didn't think I would be watching any of the Olympics this year until woman's Vollyball came on
