Well sorry. When you are sleeping in the Zeek's RV and wake up to the sound of rain, you kind of f$&@ing know exactly when the event was cancelled.

What the hell do you know?

All laughing aside, forecast looks like crap and has rain all day from Indiana through Pennsylvania. Have a safe drive home.

I was not doubting you, I was letting you guys know what the track was saying to those of us that were on our way and called to see if it was a go or not..... They should be telling people it's a rainout is all I was thinking.....

The track has a drag racing training thing later today and I think they don't want people thinking their event is cancelled too.

Lake in Wood Campground, or Maple Grove yard?
...the Sunny Day plan was to spend Fathers Day at Lake-in-Wood AFTER getting a time slip. Butt Hay there's other things for a rainy day. Safe driving. Dumbask Question is there a possible re-schedule? HIS

PN, If you wanted to inform others you could have said "The track said it was canceled", and let it go. The financial aspects are not anyone's business. Or you could have called Jim Z. to let him handle it. Does one person's indiscreet comment needs to be repeated publicly as the truth? Who makes those kinds of comments when answering the phone anyway? Knowledgeable, tactful people? No. The gossipy? Those who don't know better? Certainly not supportive, kind, or gracious people, or those who plan to be employed long-term.

Call Jim Zeek and ask him to his face how he handles paying for the track rentals when the gate intake doesn't cover the cost. Be assured, the track gets paid in full.

Support the hobby, enjoy the cars, race hard. Have a safe drive home.

Default pontiacs at the grove

Wow Brian
I guess you call pissing and moaning asking a simple question, As for showing up, I've been to all the pontiac races at MG. CC. and one at virgina and norwalk. The 1st race was in 1995 and I was there , But I quess you wouldn't call that support. I also double enter thats paying twice.
I quess your a expert on knowing what supoort is maybe you should explain it to all of us on the board !!!
I've talk to Jim many times and was just giving a simple suggestion to help race car counts at this race.
I bracket race my pontiac every weekend and enjoy going to a races with just pontiacs. No one said the payout had to be large but post something, then the racers can decide if they want to go or not. Last year so many racers went alot of rounds only to get nothing, so they won't be back. And other racers won't come if they don't know.
Just wondering if you where there today ?? I was But I guess that's not supporting the race.
Those who do RACE, Those who don't talk $%it on all these boards !!!!!!!

No matter what the circumstances were, the track shouldn't be telling anyone anything except that it was cancelled. Talk about poor support and back up from the track people...

Jim you always put everything into an event, 99% of us know and appreciate it. You don't control the weather, and by calling it early you allowed those driving in today to either turn around half way or not make the trip at all. I hate waiting at a track for hours for a decision, thanks for thinking of the racers first.

Jim, You have always done a hell of a job trying to get this event back to where it was & should be. Don't let the few A$$holes discourage you. There are plenty of people in the Pontiac community that support you & will back your decision. I don't think anybody would have taken the chance of a rain out & losing all that $$$$. To all the whiners out there, Keep it up & we will lose another Pontiac event.

And thank you for proving my point with your comment I highlighted.

I don't have to explain myself to you or anyone.

Have a nice day.
