That Harpoon Hanna's thing seemed over rated to me. Seemed more fun to be "in town" where all the action is. Since my car isn't particularly pristine, and we didn't know anyone, we kind of felt like pariah at HH. My wife said "we'll never do that again!"

I can't leave for OC prior to late Saturday afternoon due to work, so my full day will be Sunday. Will it still be worth it?

I've been going for the past few years. I took the bonneville down last year. It was cold at night but managed to cruise with the top down anyways.I am gonna try to make it there depending on if my Bonneville sells or not.

Went last year for the first time and had a blast! Taking my purple 62 Lemans this year. Went to Harpoon Hannas and didn't see any Pontiac guys. Had a nice dinner and went to Dunkin Donuts to watch the action on the street.

That has been happening for years. That is one of the biggest reasons I no longer go down.

It is where your sitting in traffic next to one of them idiots and they pretty much leave you in a cloud of black soot and all over your car. With a bunch of drunk dumbasses in the back of it.

Lots of cars hang around through Monday to beat traffic, but the vast majority of the excitement will be over. If you can loop the strip a few times Saturday night, it might be worth the drive. If you leave anytime after 9am or before 7pm on Sunday, you'll be hating life.

Sunday is a good day to spend on the boardwalk. They have a bunch of vendors and a HUGE car show where the cars drive down the boardwalk into the area where the car show is. A lot of cars are there. So the weekend wouldn't be a total loss. If you can get a cruise up and down the strip on sat then its a fun experience too.

I was down there a few years back cruising Saturday night in my '66 GTO convertible.
I got stuck in traffic in the old town area where all the sidewalk spectators/ drunks wet down the road and scream for burnouts. Well, a Dodge Ram diesel pickup in front of me smoked 'em up (exhaust & tires) with the obligatory d-arss drunks in the bed & air horn blasting.
15 seconds later , an Ocean City bicycle cop rode up & pulled him over. PRICELESS!

For those of you unfamiliar with the Ocean City event, here are some pictures I took last weekend. The Inlet parking lot and the Convention Center parking lot are the two "main" event sites, although there are various restaurants throughout the city that encourage cruisers to park. In these pictures, the Inlet parking lot is setup for Springfest. Those white tents won't be there.

Harpoon Hanna's 4:30 ish on Thursday upper end of lot. Everyone is pretty cordial and I have met some pretty nice folks there. Unfortunately I cannot really remember many by name but doubt that matters much. If you see me there or anywhere else for that matter. I am "Terry" come and say Hi. I have a red 69 Lemans convertible white top. the first time I and my wife went was a last moment thing on a Friday we got to OC at about 8pm. I could not believe it. We took the cheesey white plastic chairs and bed covers out of the dumpy hotel "like I said last minute" and sat on the sidewalk watching the cars go by. That was the spring of 2000 and we haven't missed a year yet. I does get kinda wild at night these days on Friday and Saturday and traffic is horrendous in the afternoons but over all I love it.
