I bought a hood and a 3.08 posi out of a blue 74 with red interior in the 80s. The car was in a junk yard and had been hit in the rear. When I saw it, I was skeptical it had the factory interior. It was pretty ragged out.

Another odd combo I've seen a few times is a white 71-72 with a green interior. Not my cup of tea.

I think the car in the junk yard was the only blue/red interior car I've ever encountered.

The car is now posted on Hemmings with a complete description and photo spread.

Take a look and see how I addressed the "how many are out there" question. Hopefully all the experts here will approve.

Wow, I just got a call from Ron, the guy that owned my T/A during the restoration. We had a good long (and fun!) talk. Ron said that he owned the car for 20 years and was never able to confirm that another like it existed, but he heard that there was one other. He filled in some gaps in the history and answered some questions that I had. And I gave him an update on all the work I did to improve performance during the past couple of years. He and the original owner still keep in touch and have been tracking it. Ron said he would really like to have the car back, but now has kids in college... maybe someday.

He confirmed that the engine and rear end are original to the car. The trans must have been replaced because it has an AA code on the tag.

Good news- he and the original owner will be sending me some goodies to go along with the car. Hopefully I will get the original Tn plates, 74 manual, odd parts and documentation in addition to the records that I already have.

Congrats.

I'm sure you'll miss it. New owner has a beautiful and unique car.

Yes I will miss the TA. But I still have my Lemans and it is not going anywhere without me in it
