Default HELP identify this part (69 Firebird ?).

Good day all, I have this little bracket that I can not recall it's application. Galvanized/Zinc plated, purpose angle bent, two 5/16-18 U-nuts. I am thinking it came off the front end of a 69 Firebird but do not and can not find the same part on our restored car. Can someone help identify the application and value. There is a reason as to why I had it squirreled away, just can't recall. Thank You.

I do not think it is part of the 69 front bumper assembly. I rebuilt one recently and it is still off the car, just looked at it and i do not see that bracket.

I had a bunch of those. Either the 69 Bird lower fender to Valence/Rad Support or the 70 GTO Lower Fender to Rad Support. Leaning toward Bird.

Not 68 GTO.

Thanks fellas, I only have one. If for lower fender to valance would there not be one for each fender. Our restored car does not have one/any of these installed and our fender to valance fit is excellent with no additional brackets.

I was gonna say that looks like one of the little brackets that holds the plastic grills into the bumper assembly. I’ve got a handful of similar looking brackets rolling around in my toolbox.

It’s the bracket that attaches the valence to bumper. There are two, one for each side. I lost one and had fabricate it from sheet metal. Wasn’t too difficult. Later, I found the original.
