Default Lovely Day for a Car Show Down Under

Attended a Car Show in Daylesford, Victoria Australia. This place is about an hour's drive north west of Melbourne.
Here is just a small small samples of some of the more interesting cars that were there. Sorry if some pics are out of order but this is how Imgur sorted them.
Note to self, bring spare camera battery so you can more photos next time.

Cool stuff. What is the black ute with the 350 decal on the fender? There was also a red ute next to a green 914, is that a Falcon?

The black ute is a HQ Holden (GMH) from the early 70s. Not sure if the they came out with a 350 originally but the sedans certainly did.

Yes, that red ute is a Falcon.

All the big three (Ford, GMH, Chrysler), made utes in Australia. We loved them but with the demise of local vehicle manufacturing we lost them all.

To me it looked like the prop had fairly shallow pitch and very shortened blades. From my basic knowledge of fans its the ends that do most of the work as as you move closer to the centre the performance drops off dramatically.
They did not rev it that hard but it sure was blowing a bit of wind onto the operators.

I always find RHD Firebirds interesting because, correct me if I’m wrong, but weren’t they converted and not exported that way?

Also, is that a TR7/TR8 I see too? Green car.

This is an Aussie early 70s Holden LJ Torana. It is a small sized car that was available as a 4 cylinder, 6 cylinder and they were going to release it as an 8 cylinder but we had our version of the Ralph Nader syndrome and the government of the day put a stop to it.
A lot the ones still around have had V8 fitted and 'Engineered' to comply with our ADRs and are legally registered now.

In the older days anything imported that was LHD had to converted to RHD. This included the Firebirds. Now days anything imported that is LHD and older than 30 year no longer needs a conversion and most people keep them LHD. Like my GTO, you get used to driving a LHD car on the LHS of the road.

That green thing is in fact a Porsche 914.
