Trim tag on an Oshawa built Judge will list the WT-1 option code

Found this on Wiki about Oshawa, pretty interesting.

Main article: McLaughlin Motor Car Company

Col. R. S. McLaughlin and "Billy" Durant signed a 15-year contract in 1907, under which the McLaughlin Motor Car Company began to manufacture automobiles under the McLaughlin name, using Buick engines and other mechanical parts. Buick was merged into General Motors shortly after, and in 1915 the firm acquired the manufacturing rights to the Chevrolet brand. Within three years, the McLaughlin Motor Car Company and the Chevrolet Motor Car Company of Canada merged, creating General Motors of Canada in 1918 with McLaughlin as President.[18][19] The factory expanded rapidly, eventually covering several blocks. The popularity of the automobile in the 1920s generated rapid expansion of Oshawa, which grew in population from 4,000 to 16,000 during this decade, and of its land area. In 1924, Oshawa annexed the area to its south, including the harbour and the community of Cedardale. This growth allowed Oshawa to seek incorporation as a city, which took place 8 March 1924.

With the wealth he gained in his business venture, in 1916 McLaughlin built one of the most stately homes in Canada, "Parkwood". The 55-room residence was designed by Toronto architect John M. Lyle. McLaughlin lived in the house for 55 years with his wife and they raised five daughters. The house replaced an older mansion, which was about 30 years old when it was demolished; the grounds of the earlier home had been operated as Prospect Park, and this land was acquired by the town and became its first municipal park, Alexandra Park. Parkwood today is open to the public as a National Historic Site. Tours are offered.

Ok thx so much, like say a '70 LS5 Chevelle that was also built at Oshawa, if i didn't see it on the paperwork or Tag I'd never know just looking at the car.

Look for the number '1' in the VIN instead of a plant letter code (e.g. P for Pontiac, Michigan) 1 = Oshawa built

Also, an inordinate amount of 1970 Oshawa Judges were built with the 3.90 rear and M21 close ratio instead of 3.55, M20 combo. NO RAM AIR IVs built in Oshawa

Some minor assembly differences I've noticed; Oshawa built GTO's had no seam sealer on the door skin lip and I also noticed that they used an orange type glue to hold the trunk mat in place. They also used chevy body mounts rather than the Pontiac specific ones used in most US plants.

A couple of other oddities are the lack of radiator support shrouds and the use of body shutz around heater box and fuse box area of the firewall

The parking brake pedal assembly is different on my Oshawa built Judge than the US ones.

They weren't tighter when new, its just the rust seizing them up from 8 months a year of road salt!

With only 288 built and unique RPO codes stamped into firewall body tag for Fisher Body modifications, ie WT1 Judge option, D80 Rear spoiler, make the 1970 GTO Judge's built in Oshawa Ontario very special.

There weren't many mint turquoise cars period so I can imagine a mint judge would be rare. The pick in my sig is my Oshawa 455 4speed mint turquoise car.

Yours had speed warning? Never noticed. My Bonnie ragtop has both gauges and speedwarning (a combo not possible on A bodies).
