Default Wheelwell Moldings - Option or Standard?

Were wheelwell moldings an option or standard equipment on a 1970 GTO? I have a zero option car I'm finishing up and I'm trying to return it to it's originol stripper glory. I have not seen too many 70 cars that don't have the moldings, so I always thought they were standard. Now I'm not so sure.

They were optional, but they ALL look better with them on.

Not necessarily true. My '70 Judge, built in Canada in late October states on the original window sticker, as part of the "standard equipment list", "mouldings-decor". In addition, I also have a very small piece of the build sheet, and it clearly shows the N96 code, even though the car didn't have any décor/moulding option on the window sticker or phs/invoice. Back then, things were not always 100% one way or the other. As a bonus, they're still on the car!

My 1970 Oshawa built GTO Judge has NO wheel lip moldings.
They were optional.

When was yours built? Again, mine was built in October, has them on the car, has them on my build sheet, and "does not" have them on my original window sticker or phs-invoice as an added option.

What's N96? B96/694 was the wheel opening molding (moulding) option. It should have been included as part of the Decor Molding (moulding) group (Y86/324).

It was standard on the LeMans Sport.

My mistake, just dug out my "partial" build sheet, it was N98(rallye wheels), not B96(mouldings). I guess they were added at some point in time....

It is a late car 06B 2nd week of June 1970.

It also has factory installed heater nipple on Heater box with hose and check valve to heat the Factory UB5 Hood Tach.
