auxillary fan for cooling
I have a 69 Pontiac gto with a 428 with mild work run nice temp when you are moving around 180-195 but when you are in stand still traffic temp starts to rise til I start moving again and it will go to 180-195 in traffic I see 210 plus so I was thinking of keeping my fan and adding an auxillary fan from a 91-95 Taurus 3.8 which has 4500cfm but the fan is a puller and can not be switched to a pusher due to fan design so if I install it has a puller and leave my stock fan would that work . THANKS

You have the 2 upper baffles & the large lower installed ?

When you get hot in traffic like that, it could be volume of fluid or air flow. Pullers are better than pushers for efficiency.
What is the size of the radiator you have. Type of fan you currently have? Size and depth of the Taurus fan? I'm having a hard time picturing how you are going to fit an electric fan and your existing combination together.

auxillary fan
the radiator that I have is a 4row brass, the fan is a 19 inch flex lite with a two inch spacer , the measurement of the Taurus assembly is h18 w23 the depth not sure but doesn't look more than 4inch I would say THANKS

Can you trim the electric fan's structure to fit inside the available space in your current mech fan shroud?

the fan is in the shroud and it is a flex lite 19 inch so I'm thinking of an auxillary fan to keep the temp down during traffic I mentioned the Taurus fan unit because of its 4500 cfm unless someone now of another fan that would work.

Get rid of the flex fan and put on a factory set up with thermostatic fan clutch. Problem solved....
