My 67 Firebird 400/TH400 factory 3 core radiator would not cool! It would run 190-220 deg. and sometimes hotter regardless of what I did. I installed a Cold-Case #CHC11A aluminum radiator, and all the problems are now solved. This CHC11A has 42 rows of two 1 inch cores. The stock 3 core had 27 rows with 3 - half inch cores. That's 15 more rows with more cooling capacity. The Firebird now runs 165 on the road, and 170-185 in hot Florida traffic. I run a 160 thermostat and a non thermal, 7-blade, 19" clutch fan. I painted the outside perimeter tanks with Eastwood radiator paint to give it the stock look, and left the center cooling fins unpainted for better heat dissipation.
