I was looking at buying a 75 Grand LeMans with 65,000 mi on it. It's not much to look at(brown w/ brown int. and ivory landue top). The body is solid and all trim is there. Two Questions: #1 the owner said the car needs a cam.(I havn't driven it yet).My experiences with Pontiacs was usually at about 50-60,000 mi. the timing chain is worn out. I have a 68 cast iron 4bl intake I can put on it. What cam could I use in a 350 to make it feel more like a v8? Also the owner is asking 1500.00 I think that's a little steep.I was going to offer him 900.00. Does that sound about right for an A-body. I'm more into big cars.

I would think the Summit 2800 nalong with a 4bbl would pick up the pace a little bit with that motor without being too much. That price does't seem too bad if the car is complete and solid. Still go in with the low offer though, ya never know he might take it.
