Latrobes annual Home of the Banana Split Festival
This weekend is Latrobes Home to the Banana Split Festival. Mister Roger's Foundation, and local Energy Co(coal) have stages set up for entertainment. Downtown is blocked off. Dancing in the streets,etc.
Funny thing, the building where Mr Strickler,his drug store,made the first banana split was torn down years ago and just a big model of a banana split sits there on concrete. I would have thought 'they' would have found ways to save the brick bldg. |

I thought or hoped the same, about the Banana Splits! Havent heard them mentioned. I remember watching them kind of kid like.I'll be there tonight. I hope the 'kids' have fun time.
