The carb in my 76 Firebird Esprit has been giving me problems. Its the stock 2 bbl Rochester carb. I want to eventually upgrade it, but for now I just need it to work. It idles way too high, or so low it stalls out. I can't seem to find a happy medium. I've adjusted the idle setting, the throttle, and the jets. It it getting plenty of gas, and the butterfly works as it should. No matter what I do, and everyone else who's looked at it, nothing seems to work. Taking it to a mechanic is my last resort, but thats the point I'm at. Can anyone help? thanks
