Default 69 GP - Which std wheel covers?

All,
Could someone advise on what the standard wheel covers were on a 69 GP?
I thought that the shallow bee-hive style wheel covers were standard; our 3spd HO J did not have any wheel cover listed on the invoice - and we had those wheel covers; they were put on only for non-winter use. Our car, bought from the original owner, also had a set of the plain "bottle-cap" hub-caps - which we used in the winter.
I thought the bee-hive would be the as-delivered caps, but my father years later retorically asked, "Why did the car come with steel rims painted to match the body color?"
The body color was Midnight Green.

There was a 69' at a show in Michigan with the plain hub caps, but I only saw it in a magazine. Does anyone know of any 69s delivered with these originally? Caps and stamped-steel rims are lighter than Rally IIs.....

Joe, I believe the shallow beehive covers were std on all '69 to '72 GP's.

I just stick to my Rally IIs - and probably get another set, as I have to run bias-plys for the Pure-stocks - but those suck on the street, I already have some basic Goodyear radial WWs; I just wanted to hear some opinions on the bottle caps....

Joe,

Was the car in Michigan that you saw in the magazine a black '69 by chance? (last photo below)... Although the GP's didn't come this way, I think the "dog dish" caps look pretty mean on the '69 GP. Also, a couple photos of Andy's old HO 4-speed with them...

i have wondered what a dog dish would look like on a Gp. thought it might be a little "plain" for the upscale-ness of a Gp. seeing one, i like it. now, would adding a trim ring be too much or enhance it.

I never thought of a trim ring - easy enough to try.
Grant - yes, the GP I was thinking of is the one in the picture you attached.
