Default 1972 Lemans GT WW4 400 4 Spd

1972 Lemans GT.

Numbers matching 400, 4 spd, 3:55 posi rear. One of 109 built GT 400 4 Spd cars, and 1 of 4 documented WW4 cars that I “currently” know of. This is a project car. The car is Cardinal Red with a Saddle interior. Options include WW4 (Y99 handling package with 1 1/8 sway bars and 15”x7” wheels), Sport Option, T41 (GTO Endura Option) front end, Gold Sword Stripe, PS, PDB, Sport Steering Wheel, Tach and Gauges, Bucket Seats with Console, 15x7 Honey Comb Wheels. PHS documentation, Protect-O-Plate, and some other original purchase docs. The car is a project that is partially disassembled.

Congrats on sale. A nice restoration will make one top shelf performance model '72 Pontiac!

Noticed it was also a mid year (or later) Pontiac plant build.
If never undercoated, could you tell if the underbody is body color Cardinal Red?

I never paid any attention to that. I looked through some pictures I have. I see red paint through what appears to be rust proofing or undercoating. Very interesting.

Thanks for confirming. Not sure if painting the underbody was only done on one shift or both @ this time at Pontiac plant. Definitely happened during mid 72 model production.

Learned something new, I never knew they painted the bottom on any of the 70-72 A body's.
