Ordered two pair of these and went to install them today only to find that they are too big and will not work on my 1977 T/A with custom interior. Anyone else had any experience with these?

Good morning! We've found there to be multiple sizes used between 1971 and 1981. These bushings are .540" ID and .590" ID. We have notes on the website and our sales reps are supposed to inform you if the order is placed over the phone. Can you please email me with your customer # and/or invoice #?

Yes. I see that now on the website but I was looking at the catalog when I made the order and had no indication that there were different sizes. I guess this is my mistake so no big deal but perhaps it would be a good idea to list the size of the bushing on the listing of it to reduce confusion. like listing it as .540" ID seat hinge bushing. I had no idea that there were several different diameters of the hinge pins. Thanks for the info.

Did you ever find a set of bushes that suit your seat, or did you measure it to know what size? Handy to know, not something easily checked without tearing seats apart long before project day.

No. I reassembled the seats with no bushings as I wasn't sure it ever had them as there were no remnants of bushings on the seats when I took them apart. I still need to look at the '70 and '73 Firebirds to see if they are a different size than the '77.
