Default 71 In Dash Tach

I will be replacing my clock with a tach. I have the tach wire harness. Question is will the power wire to the clock serve the purpose for the tach, or is another source preferred. Thanks

You need to run a wire from the coil to the tach.

Power wire to the clock is "always on". Power wire to the tach normally would not be. That said, the amount of current the tach pulls from the wire wouldn't be much.

Thanks. This is one of the new metal after markets from The Parts Place. Looks pretty good. I have the tach harness that goes to the coil. Ill look for a switch on hot wire for power. Waiting on the Rally conversion to replace the idiot lights at the same time. Thanks again.
