Default Dark sandalwood carpet

I had this posted in another section, perhaps here is more appropriate?

70 GTO has Atoll blue exterior with sandalwood (257) interior. I ordered samples from Ames and didn't match quite to the carpet. I pulled the door sill plate and the original carpet is very nice, but no match.

From what I could find, sandalwood should have dark sandalwood carpet. Can anyone direct me where to buy it? I'll post pics of the samples and the piece I cut from the original.

Thanks

The triangle shaped piece is original, a shade darker. The light one is #19 sandalwood, the darker one is #32 dark gold (perhaps the closest but seems to have some green to it) the other which is too dark is #12 dark saddle which is incorrect. I also placed the #694G legendary sandalwood vinyl for reference against the edging.

I went to ACC's site but I still don't find the correct color. Any help is appreciated

Default Dark Sandalwood Carpet

KGTO,

Just wondering if you had any luck finding carpet. I have a '70 Formula with the same color carpet and can't find a Dark Sandalwood. I've attached a pic of the original tag on the underside for reference...(not that it helps us any)

Thanks

Well yes and no....I received samples from several vendors, though ACC sells to most. I wound up choosing dark gold, its as close as I could get, and seemed to be the general consensus on the closest color. I took pictures of the tags on the factory OEM carpet which was just like yours, "dark sandalwood". It's too bad this shade isn't available as it's a widely discussed topic.

I purchased the carpet from Ames, went with the mass backed version which went in really well. It did seem a little longer than the OE, especially up the firewall. I can upload some pics tonight.

Sidebar, I've also run into the same issue on the package tray. It should be dark sandalwood, no one makes it. I bought a sandalwood tray from Ames and I need to have the color mixed to shoot it.
