Do any of these help? If you scroll down to the install galleries tab they have 4 installs on ‘67’s (2 on frames minus bodies). I usually use them for install pics or Gardner for OE type install pics.

Sorry they won’t allow me to direct link to the galleries.

Here is my '66, which is going to be the same as a '67. I used the Flowmaster 2.5" mandrel bent kit with Dynomax Super Turbo mufflers.

Used that same kit with super turbo on friends 66 gto, and used the Flowmaster 3" kit with qtr exit and ultra flow mufflers on my firebird. The flowmaster pipe kit works well IMO.

Thanks for sending the photos, one of my concerns is if I use Walker 17749 Super Turbo Mufflers, they are 20" long will they fit up in the rear so everything tucks up nice.

Mine is a '64, but should effectively be the same as your car. I have the 17749 ST's and an X pipe.

Hope this helps.

Champ, how do you like the sound with the X pipes? Any drone?

No drone at all. Some would prefer a louder muffler, but with a convertible where the top is down 90% of the time, I don't want excessive noise.

Having said that, I have had a jacked up Ram hemi pull alongside at a stop light and comment that I must have some cam in that GTO...

I currently have Dynomax 17749 Super Turbo mufflers on my 67 LeMans with 2-1/2 dual exhaust and I do have some drone at certain speeds. The guy that did the exhaust years ago did a crappy job and has the mufflers way forward and everything hangs down and looks stupid as you can see the exhaust hanging down when viewing the car from the side. I plan to re-do the system and go with either an H-pipe or X-pipe to remove the drone. I'm curious if I would like to the sound of the H-pipe or X-pipe better and which one does a better job of removing the drone. Any thoughts?

Champ

Did you use the Pypes pre bent system? Did you have a problem getting the pipes tucked up so you don't see the pipes hanging down? Did you modify the down pipes to get better ground clearance? Thanks
