Really was a Queen. She lived and experienced a lot, some not so good, always positive from what I could tell. Cancer sucks.

That's true Tom. We almost think of 83 as young now but that's a full ticket and I think she got the most out of hers. RIP Tina!

I've made quite a few lights used in movie props over the years. One of the lamps I made used in Mad Max Fury Road was apparently taken back to the USA by or on behalf of Tina Turner. It was returned to me to rewire after the filming was finished. They wanted it made to comply with American standards.

Probably took a picture of it at the time but blessed if i would know where it is today.

Sad news over her passing

Whether song or acting she was a great performer. She was super in "Thunderdome". And she had more hit songs than carter has liver pills.

RIP Tina. You're Simply the Best!

God bless you Anna Mae Bullock.

I heard an interesting statement from her today. It seems that she was offered the role that Oprah Winfrey played in "The Color Purple".. she said that there was no way she was taking that role. It was too close to her real life where she was taking a lot of abuse and beatings from an abusive husband.
