I hope so! I plan on taking it to the mothers-day car show and swap next month.
I just had some engine paint mixed up for it today hope to start painting that
tomorrow and finish getting it buttoned up. Still have to order the carb kits I'll
get those through Ames. I plan to run it on the test stand before installing it in
the car as it sure does save a lot of unseen problems. I want to drive this thing
real bad. I think it's going to run pretty good being a 10:00:1 motor with tri-power
and the cam I put in it.

Hi Don, The 64' is just about done, just now finishing the new paint and some small details. How is the new home?

Hi Lee, I guess your getting back to 100%. Put up some pic's of the 64 when you finish. What engine are you running?
New house and state are great. I've got 500 more sq ft in the new house than the old one and the taxes including the new garage are half of what they were in Ca. Gas is between 3.07 and 3.25 a gallon, everything is cheaper. The house has a three car garage for the daily drivers and my train room, and the new garage has 1632 sq feet and 25ft ceiling so I've got two lifts for either stacking or working in there which really help not having to lie on my back anymore and makes tons of more room. The garage is so big I put a 8x16 office and bar in it. I just finished the bar top and floor tile last week. Looks like Nancy wants a new kitchen though, like the one I did in our old house. My work is never done.....and that will push the 62 Catalina back some more. Sure glad I have the LeMans and the Olds and two bugs to play with. There are sometimes two cruises every week, plus my antique auto club meets every Tuesday morning at our clubhouse, and the my hot rod friends meet at a bakery every Saturday morning just like they do at Pismo and Paso. Lots of cars here and good people too. Most are refugee's from Ca. Weather has been just a smidgen cooler than than Templeton / Paso the whole year so no probs. Hey, you should retire and come this way. We need more Pontiac guy's with limited government attitudes!

Don

Engine looks great, I really like the 57 scripted valve covers. It's a shame they went away from that.

I think they look cool also.
I was thinking that mothers day was later in the month
and that I had time to get the 57 together opps. I'll get it
going for some shows later on this month. Money is pretty
tight around here rite now but is getting better so I should
have the 57 and the tempest going soon.

Well I was hoping to get lucky with the master cyl. and that it would be ok.
Well it's not. Anybody know where to get a new one as it would be easier
To just change it. Rock-Auto says thay have them but there for a chevy. (go figure)
If I can't find a replacement I'll just rebuild this one. Thanks.

My "NEW" mc costs $35. I went to one mounted on my firewall. Are you running manual or power brakes? I think Scarebird used to sell a bracket for manual brakes to mount a new style dual mc. I could see your pount though if you wanted to leave it in a stock configuration.

There manual. Yea I want to keep this thing pretty much original
As it's all there. The only thing I've changed is the tri-power.
I found an original 57 TP complete so I thought it would look
pretty cool and un-suspecting intill you pop the hood. ha ha
I got my carb kits today so I'll get started on that part this
weekend then I can get the motor on the test stand and run
It to break it in and check for any problem. I'll order the master
next week and maybe the new gas tank to. Then some exaust
work and-and-and-and that should do it.LOL

Well I'm finally able to get back on the 57.
I put the master cyl on today and I'm going
to try and get the motor all buttoned up so
I can get it on the test stand and run the
motor to break in the cam. I bought a new
gas tank too just to make life a little easier.
I'll keep posting to let you guy's know how it's going.

Man this brake system kicked my butt.
I had to go back true every connection and re-tighten each and every one.
I've used about a half gallon of brake fluid so far and the only line that I
didn't change (cause it looked like new) sprung a leak. ARGGG.
Well I replaced that line and finally got the brake system finished.
I still have to do a little more bleeding to be done with it.
Now I can button up the motor and get it ready for the test stand.
