My stall converter is 2200 rpm, but I don’t have a Governor as far as I know. The NVU gauges track your top speed and rpm high marks automatically. You can also set shift points if you want.

You should have one, it controls what rpm the 2004R shifts at. My stock one was too low, another one we tried was better but still low. Tried a GrandNational gov that was too high. Ended up modifying the original one to get desired 5000ish wot shift points.

Well, this is an Art Carr 2004r. It's 3 years old, has maybe 1500 miles on it. I'd hate to think it needs work, but the warranty did just expire so that would figure.

Going back to the shop this week, so hopefully that will get addressed.

I don't know about the rest of the country but here in Georgia when you title the car there is a check off for whether you're claiming the mileage to be original or unknown. I can't imagine it coming up anyway unless the buyer were to sue you over it or something like that.

Used Cars with Kurt Russell and Jack Warden, IIRC. I'm not sure what the exact mileage should be on mine.

eBay ad said 122k by previous owner, then the restoration began...motor, tranny, suspension, interior, gauges, AC, PS, brakes, etc. I bought the car with 6500 on the odometer in 2015, but the new gauges were set at 2222 by the PO when he got them in 2010.

I ran the mileage up to 11k, so I've put less than 5k miles on it, then I upgraded the motor, trans (2004r), rear end (post 3.55), new AC unit, entire new top end, Kaufmann heads, Crower Cam, Performer intake, Holley 750, new radiator w/dual 11" fans, NVU gauges, Retrosound #2 radio, the list is pretty long.

My point is, I think the only thing original is the block, the chassis, sheet metal and interior (but upgraded to red).

I haven't decided where to set the odometer yet since I've only put 188 miles on it since the gauges went in last week.

I know my pile of receipts ia about 18" thick though....

pretty much a new car then...as long as a person is upfront with the buyer I don't see the issue but the federal government here may say different lol

Oh ya - Kurt Russel...I was thinking Jeff Bridges for some reason which sent me into an IMDB rabbit hole...thanks!

Sigh...."Jim, your Bird will be ready to pickup in an hour..." T minus 30 minutes to go now...it's killing me! 1 year, and 17 days in the shop (around a heart transplant and multiple parts delays).

Taking my USB stick to put in the radio and blasting "Highway Star" by Deep Purple right off the bat...on the way to the gas station. LOL

It turned out beautiful. There can't have been too many made with that color combo. It's striking.

Thanks very much. The color combo is custom, however. It used to Verdoro Green with a black top, IIRC.
