The engine rpms sound reasonable for mid/low 7's at 180+ MPH. Launch looks excellent.

79 T/A w/463, Scat crank, Eagle rods, Icon pistons, Lunati solid roller, 262/270, KRE 325 heads,Northwind intake, QF950 carb, full interior, ps, pdb, th350, and 3.73 gears. Pump gas, 3650 lbs. race weight. 10.72 @ 126 so far... no tuning yet.

The car 60ft looks awesome. As far a driver he looks to be deadly on the tree. That's a rough group to play with. Success in class racing is very hard to achieve.

Last pass was 183 MPH. Nice to see him running the 1/4 mile. Heck with that 1/8 stuff.
Looks like he runs a 2 speed trans.

Thanks for the article. When I told some friend racers I was building an SD455 for stock. They complained about engine size,not being 'legal'. Its funny to watch the complainers.
