Think he is running Tiger 2s right now. It would blow that engine into the weeds.

Article says John Marcella ported the heads and intake. I wish John still posted here.

Pretty sure John did the intake and ported some more on the exhaust ports and the car picked up a bit. John told me Gabby had a nice intake port.
His old engine ran in the 7.70s quite a bit.

At least from what I remember.
I had a pic of his new engine, but its on a old phone that I need to find.
I was supposed call John today. I got the deck height of my IA2 this weekend that he needs to finish a intake he has had for awhile.

Troy,
I talked with Jeff about the 7.7x's run at MIR. He had changed his rear end gear to run the 1/4 mile, but still had to much gear. So he turned the N2O off I believe it was at around 1000 ft. I believe the MPH was 169-170. That was in 2015. In 2022 he ran 7.405 @ 183.27 at MIR

All I am saying is I do not think he is running the old E head engine anymore.
He stepped up.
Seem to remember a post about selling the E heads or something like that.

Troy,
I believe a few years ago he went to Tigers, and at some point he also increased his engine size.

Default engine spec

I'm most certain it is a Bes. engine with Bes. Edelbrock Victor heads.

NICE. I bet we are going to see more of those heads on high HP Pontiacs as the racing season gets going.
The Pontiac racing world has needed a big time repeatable high flowing head/top end for a long time. Looks like Tony got it done.
Let the debuts begin.

I don't think one is necessarily better than the other given they both start as raw casting. Probably comes down to cost to do the work.

A call to Preston at BES will get you the details on both options.

Until I see Langer replace his Tigers with Pro Ports I will stay with Tigers.

I think we have to agree on that.
If there was something better he would have it.
