Default Oversize Cam Bearings

I need help. My cam journals are out of alignment and need to be align bored. My builder needs 10 over cam bearings on the outer shell and standard inner. Part # is P-4R1. Nobody has them. Anyone here have a set sitting around? I would be very grateful. Perry Galuppo 315-481-8865 perrygaluppo@verizon.net
Thanks

How far out are they actually?

I would like to hear from others about this on this subject, but to me if some are .005” or more out then I think you have something going on with that block and a darn good reason not to use it.

Default Cam bearings

This could be why it's being rebuilt again. I've had bearing issues before and the cam bearings were missing chunks. I guess the previous builder didn't pay much attention to it. This guy is. I will ask him about the actual differences.

Thanks to all who responded. A fellow racer, Bill Bailey had an extra set and is shipping them to me as we speak. Thanks again.

Before even installing those new ones I would have the main webs of that block carefully magnafluxed.

Yes, I already talked to the builder. He will be magnafluxing the block and especially the webbing before any more work begins. And he wont align bore before he gets the new bearings.

Good idea! I have align bored more than a few cam tunnels for oversize bearings and roller bearing. What the OD of the bearings are and what they are supposed to be are two different things.
