Don't bring common sense into this discussion . it really seems to be a sensitive subject for most Pontiac enthusiasts.... Way too sensitive!

I'll bite. For any given year until the 301 was introduced there was nothing to call a small block. So we can legitimately point and laugh at anyone stating "1967 big block Pontiac for Sale". Also, the 301 was a short deck Pontiac block and not a small block. Me sensitive? Naw!

Sorry I forgot the LOL... It is funny.

Have to admit lots of guys get unglued if anyone calls a Pontiac a BB or SB ..... I wish they were that critical of detail at work.... Things would be working much better in the world today.

Default Big block is Chevy lingo. Not applicable to Pontiac

BBC, 396 CID
SBC, 400 CID
W, 348 CID
Interchange?

Tall deck 427 = big big block

It was funny. I legit wasn't trying to "poke the bear" with my comment, but just add some irony to the humour.

That one's a big block too, compared to the 265.
