Lordstown undercarriage finishes
Hi wondering if anyone can shed some light on the primer colors and oversprays on the underside of a lordstown build 69 firebird.

I can't remember if this is Lordstown or Van Nuys.
It was labeled wrong when originally published; I marked the correction on my hardcopy but it is now filed away. K

This is a lordstown pic, but its hard to discern if its black primer, dark gray primer with all the florescent lights in the background of the pic. Any thoughts?

I have a lot of overspray underneath both sides of my LOR '68.

The topic of underbody finish on the 67-69 Firebird & Camaro has gone on for a long time on many forums.
Some say dull black, others say a dark gray. Either way, there was definitely body color overspray along the sides and in various spots. Personally, from what I've seen first-hand, the underbody floor color appears to be closer to black with a slight hint of gray (FWIW). Then there is the matter of factory applied sound deadener... Rear Wheel housings, Inner Quarters, Backside of Door Outer.
