Progress - Machine work is done
Ready for assembly this week, then dyno. The block is a thing of beauty.

Sweet!!
Ya hate to hide it all with oil pan, heads and intake I know! If this is a IA block and you have never used one before, note that the front lower passenger head bolt hole may still go into the water jacket and is not blind. They may have changed this with later blocks, but it still pays to check.

Don't understand,brand new block that requires machine work ouch

The block came with a 4.145 bore and it had to go to 4.185. Also line honed, decked, balanced. It also came dry decked so needed that too. The heads are new E-heads but needed some cleaning up and new springs. That's it I think.

New blocks need complete machining, B/H, deck and usually the mains. That's a small bore.
