State of CA had a problem with 69 and TA was a issue also.
Took a bunch of calls explaining it was a 1969 TransAm with a RamAir V engine.Tom

the plate for my tow truck says PONYAKS. pontiac was already taken & besides most of us good ole country boys from the deep south pronounce it "PONY" instead of "PONTI". tain't proper i know--but this here is red neck country ya'll! we're a lot like the folks in the snuffy smif comic strip sep they got mountains--we just got hills. ya'll can see some of our boys on TV in "Duck Dynasty"--some uv us just got a few more whiskers than others!

A friend has a 79 TA. Purchased a 79 personalized plate at a swap meet "LEGEND". Michigan would not let him use the plate as an original. He has another plate he has had on the front of the TA for years "3MTA3". Needs to be read from your rear view mirror.
