Default Will a 72 chevelle bench fit a 67 Tempest.

Got a line on a really good looking 72. It’s close and if it fits, I’ll dye and throw it in until I can reupholster my original.

Thanks.

I’d be surprised if it bolted right in.

It may not "bolt right in" but I'm pretty sure you can make it fit. Have you measured the width of yours to compare to the Chevy? You should also measure the width of the seat tracks where they mount to the floor. Maybe your seat tracks would bolt to the Chevy seat if they are different. It's at least worth going to look at the other seat...you said its a good deal and close....good luck

Don’t know if they’re different, but we put a bench seat from a ‘68 in our ‘66 Tempest. It was the only one that we could find. It did bolt right in with no problem. The seat itself is wider but that was not an issue.

The guy said his was 55” wide. I’m gonna measure mine on the way.

Yeah, I’m going to have my original reupholstered. But I’m going on Hit Rod Power Tour this year, so for speeds sake, I’m gonna dye it. I sit like 4 inches higher!!!

Is it the seat cushion or the seat tracks? If it's the tracks maybe you can switch them temporarily.

I am surprised - that’s a good bit of trivia to remember.

No my old seats Springs were sprung and had almost zero foam. I did measure the track distances but not the height. I will measure them as well.

I used early 70s A body buckets in my 64 Impala then swapped them in a 69 Roadrunner! You can make them fit but glad they were a bolt in.
