Exclamation CAN'T GET SICK OF SUCH A GREAT COLOR.

I too like the Olds Gold, The AMC Turquoise and feel the Pontiac Metallic Blue fits in this "GREAT COLOR" lineup.

Besides it's just a base color, it's the trimmings that make it less noticeable

PMD blue Metallic remains cool. If it ever dulls to my eye then there's...

JOHNSON OUTBOARD GREEN

It's like an oil-aged PMD blue.

Looking in a Pontiac engine bay and seeing the wrong color is almost as bad as finding a Chevy engine. Black is no exception since many of the GM "corporate" (read Chevy) engines came in black. I've had two or three Chevy trucks with black engines from the factory. So Chevy orange, Chevy flat dark blue, or Chevy black all ring about the same with me.

We bought the 2+2 with a freshly rebuilt 421, but the engine builder painted it Pontiac 50's engine green. Didn't take but a few weeks raising the hood and we had to pull the engine and paint it the correct light blue.

I really like the blue my 75 FB came with so that's what the new build will get. Besides the car is my fav color (red) and blue is my wife's fav. Win, win.

Just painted my motor in the Pontiac metallic blue colour. By far this is the best colour i've seen on a motor. Just got to make sure all there's no oil leaks!

Off-topic, how do you get your image to show up full-size?

I host it elsewhere and link to the image rather than attach it to the thread.

Negative. There are some cars that kind of need to be kept original.

If you knew Keith's car you'd understand.

Check out the '65 GTO in his signature.

If you are building a full restoration by the book paint it the correct color but if you just like the metallic blue color paint your engine that color. Hell I painted mine a Pontiac exterior color and love it!

Color of this 287 is growing on me. Anyone know which blue it is? Aren't these supposed to be dark green?
