Lobe separation angle plays a big part in that.
I've learned that from using Scott browns cams,
I personaly run cams with 113-114 LSA and that
tones the cam down so to speak without hurting performance it
actually helped performance. If that helps.

I run a 248 @ .050 with .61x lift in my ta with no issue. I run a 234/246 @ .050 cam with .61x lift in my 05 GTO. I would drive either 3k miles without thinking about it. If you're not looking for that kind of durability Hooter is a great NA reference.
